Kedar Jedhav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s brilliant spell was enough to help India in registering a thumping eight-wicket win against Pakistan in the Asia Cup in Dubai on Wednesday.

After deciding to bat first, the Men in Green posted a modest total of 162 before being bowled out in the 44th over.

Top-order batsman Babar Azam finished the innings with the top score of 47 off 62 balls with the help of six fours, whereas veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik finished with 43 off 67 balls with the help of one six and a four.

For India, part-time off-spinner Jadhav and pacer Kumar was the star of the show as both claimed three wickets each and gave away 23, 15 runs respectively.

In reply, the Men in Blue chase down the target in the 29 overs at the expense of two wickets, courtesy sublime half-century from captain Rohit Sharma, who finished with the top-score of 52 off 39 balls with the help of six fours and three fours.

For Pakistan, leg-spinner Shadab Khan and pacer Faheem Asharaf claimed one wicket each.
