The glittering ICC Champions Trophy concluded its three-day tour of Karachi and is set to travel to Lahore today. While no public activities have been scheduled for Lahore yet, the trophy garnered significant attention during its stay in Karachi.  

The Champions Trophy arrived in Karachi on Wednesday, beginning its tour at the historic Burns Road Food Street. Over the next few days, the trophy was showcased at various iconic locations in the city, concluding its Karachi journey at the popular Port Grand venue.  

On Friday, the trophy was displayed at multiple locations, including two colleges in the Defence area. Former Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed joined the event at one of the colleges, sharing memories of Pakistan’s historic 2017 Champions Trophy victory with the students. Enthusiastic students posed for photos with the trophy, creating a memorable moment.  

Later, a photo session took place at Mazar-e-Quaid, followed by a stop at the historic KMC headquarters, where Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab and Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain Shah received the trophy and posed for photos.  

The tour also included a visit to the iconic Mohatta Palace, where Provincial Minister for Culture Zulfiqar Ali Shah welcomed the trophy. The Provincial Sports Minister, Mohammad Bux Mahar, joined the celebrations at the National Stadium, fulfilling his wish to take a photo with the prestigious trophy.  

Speaking at the National Stadium, the Sports Minister emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to host the Champions Trophy, highlighting the country's enthusiasm and preparation for the tournament.  

The day concluded with the trophy’s display at Port Grand, where fans gathered in large numbers to take photos with it. The public exhibition marked the culmination of the Karachi leg of the tour.  

According to sources, the trophy is now en route to Lahore, but no official events or activities have been planned in the city as of yet. The ICC Champions Trophy trophy arrived in Karachi two days ahead of schedule, underlining its significance and the excitement surrounding the upcoming tournament.
