The International Cricket Council (ICC) has postponed the board meeting to decide the 2025 Champions Trophy’s fate until tomorrow. The discussions, which failed to yield any progress, have been deferred to tomorrow for further deliberation.
During the meeting, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi firmly reiterated Pakistan's refusal to accept a hybrid model for the tournament. He emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to hosting all matches on home soil.
Indian representatives presented their position, stating that the Indian government has not granted permission for the national cricket team to travel to Pakistan.
The deadlock between the two cricketing nations remains persisted. ICC officials announced that the board members will reconvene tomorrow to attempt a breakthrough. However, if the impasse continues, the ICC may opt for a voting process to determine the tournament's future.
