No ICC board meeting today, PCB stands firm on Champions Trophy hosting stance

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has clarified that there will be no board meeting today.

According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) remains steadfast in its stance on hosting the ICC Champions Trophy. Following PCB’s firm position, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly requested additional time to deliberate.

Sources suggest that an ICC meeting is likely to take place within the next 48 hours to discuss the matter further.

It is worth noting that Pakistan has emphasized its commitment to hosting the Champions Trophy and has conveyed to the ICC that progress will only be made if a viable solution is proposed.

Earlier, an ICC board meeting scheduled to address the future of the Champions Trophy was adjourned just 15 minutes after it began. It was agreed that Pakistan and India, along with the ICC, would work together to find a mutually acceptable option for the event.
