Zalmi vs Sultans: PSL 9 turns pink for breast cancer awareness day

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to leverage the HBL Pakistan Super League as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives to promote awareness about breast cancer and childhood cancer. To kickstart this campaign, the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans on March 5 at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will be designated as Pink Ribbon Day, focusing on raising awareness about breast cancer.

During this special event, both teams will don pink ribbons and caps, and even the commentators will join in by wearing pink ribbons. Messages related to breast cancer awareness will be prominently displayed on the big screen and announced throughout the commentary.

Continuing their commitment to social causes, the PCB will dedicate the game between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans on March 12 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi as Gold Ribbon Day, aiming to increase awareness about childhood cancer. The venue will be transformed with a golden hue as players and commentators don gold ribbons and caps.

In a heartwarming gesture, the PCB has extended invitations to four cancer patients to attend the Gold Ribbon Day in Karachi. These brave individuals will be honored with signed shirts from both participating teams, adding a touch of solidarity and support to the cause.
