South African all-rounder Chris Morris has opened up about legendary pacer Dale Steyn’s statement about the Indian Premier League (IPL), which caused uproar among the Indian fans.

Steyn, who represented Quetta Gladiators in the HBL PSL 6, had said that the IPL is less rewarding as compared to other leagues in the world. While talking to Cricket Pakistan in an exclusive interview, Steyn had further added that cricket gets forgotten, amid money talks, in the IPL which is why he decided against playing the last season.

Morris, who is one of the highest paid South African players in IPL, said he does not hold the same opinion as Steyn about the Indian tournament.

“No, I don’t feel the same. Dale’s a free spirit, Dale’s one of the legends of the game, Dale’s one of my favourite people in the world. Dale’s got his opinions, he will be outspoken about his opinions. I’m not going to delve into it too much and it was just the case of Dale feeling at that time what Dale was feeling – what he was feeling emotionally or physically or mentally,” Morris said as quoted by ESPNCricinfo.

The all-rounder added that the veteran pacer has the right to his opinion and he would be glad to have a chat him on the aforementioned topic.

“Whatever he feels that’s what he feels, and I’m happy to have a conversation with him about it. But, we’re all different animals, we’re all different people and we have different opinions and that’s what makes the world go around,” he concluded.
