Pat Cummins, the skipper of the reigning World Test Champions, Australia, will captain a formidable Test team of the year, as selected by Cricket Pakistan.

Usman Khawaja, who emerged as the leading run-scorer with 1210 runs at an average of 52.6, is partnered at the top by the experienced Sri Lankan opener, Dimuth Karunaratne, who amassed 608 runs at an impressive average of 60.8.

In the middle order, Kane Williamson (695 runs at 57.9), Joe Root (787 at 65.5), and Harry Brook (701 at 53.9) form a robust batting lineup.

The spin duties will be entrusted to Ravindra Jadeja, who claimed 33 wickets, and Nathan Lyon, who stood out as the leading wicket-taker (47 wickets) in Tests this year.

The pace attack boasts a formidable trio consisting of Pat Cummins (42 wickets), Stuart Broad (38 wickets), and Kagiso Rabada (20 wickets). This trio is expected to keep wicketkeeper Tom Blundell busy behind the stumps, having collectively taken 22 catches and executed 7 stumpings.
