Pakistan's pace all rounder Aamer Jamal has stamped his name in the record books during his debut Test series against Australia on Wednesday.
Jamal has become only the third Pakistan cricketer to achieve the rare feat of scoring 100+ runs and taking 10+ wickets in a Test series Down Under. He is also now the first Pakistan player with a 50+ score and a 5+ wicket haul in his debut Test series .
The historic moment unfolded during the ongoing third Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, where Jamal showed his power with the bat and previously with the ball. His impressive maiden fifty in the first innings has now placed him in an elite club alongside legendary Pakistan cricketers Imran Khan and Wasim Akram.
Jamal's remarkable innings of 82 runs off 97 deliveries, adorned with 9 fours and 4 sixes, proved to be the saving grace for Pakistan. Facing the daunting situation of 227/9, Jamal's unparalleled resilience and skill, steered Pakistan's innings from the brink to a commendable total of 313.
