Afridi blitz takes Pakhtoons to T10 League final

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi — who is the captain of T10 League franchise Pakhtoons —played a match-winning knock to help his team qualify for the final of the event.

Afridi hit seven sixes and three fours during his 59-run unbeaten innings from just 17 balls — helping Pakhtoons post a total of 135-5 against the Northern Warriors.

Afridi’s knock proved pivotal as Warriors’ Windies batsman Rovman Powell smacked 80 off just 35 balls with the help of nine sixes, but it was not enough to take his side to victory.

Pakhtoons won the match by 13 runs with Shahid Afridi securing the award for player of the match.

The final of second edition of ongoing T10 League will take place in Sharjah on December 2.
