Azhar Ali set to announce retirement from limited-overs cricket

Pakistan top-order batsman Azhar Ali is likely to announce his retirement from limited-overs cricket in a bid to keep his focus solely on Test matches.

According to Daily Express, Ali will officially announce this decision in a press conference on November 1.

Ali made his ODI debut against Ireland in Belfast during 2011 and featured in 53 ODIs for Pakistan over the course of his brief limited-over career. He scored 1845 runs with the help of 12 half-centuries and three centuries. His last ODI appearance in coloured clothing came at the beginning of 2018 against New Zealand in Dunedin.
