Babar Azam names three potential superstars for Pakistan

Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, has expressed his optimism and high regard for three young players around domestic circuit: Saim Ayub, Omair Bin Yousaf, and Mohammad Haris.

Azam believes that these talented individuals have the potential to become superstars in the world of cricket, provided they remain focused, work hard, and prioritize the fundamentals of the game without succumbing to the pressures of international cricket.

“As far as promising youngsters are concerned, Saim Ayub, Omair Bin Yousaf, and Mohammad Haris are potential superstars in my opinion. They just to focus hard and do simple things properly without burdening themselves with the pressure of international cricket,” Babar said in an interview with Cricwick.

During the recently-concluded T20I series against New Zealand, Fakhar echoed similar thoughts about Saim.

"Saim is a wonderful addition in the batting line-up. His range of shots is really good. After Babar, Pakistan have got such a player. You can’t judge a player so early, but I feel that if he continues to work hard and take care of himself, then he would serve Pakistan for a long time and will win a lot of matches for Pakistan," Fakhar had said.

While, Saim and Haris have been a part of Pakistan’s T20I side, Omair is also making his claim for the national side, as he recently scored an unbeaten 250 against Zimbabwe A during the first four-day match of Pakistan Shaheens’ tour.
