Babar Azam receives his ODI and T20I Team of the Year caps

Pakistan's all-format captain, Babar Azam, has finally been delivered his ODI and T20I caps after the premier batsman was named in the 2021 team of the year in both formats.

Ranked number one in both formats, Babar has continued his phenomenal run in limited-overs cricket from last year.

Sharing his achievement on social media, Babar captioned the image of himself holding his prized possession as, "hard work pays off."

Last year, Babar accumulated 405 runs at an impressive average of 67.50 which included two centuries and one half-century in only six innings. His run in the T20I cricket last year was no different as he smashed 939 runs at an average of 37.56 and a strike rate of 127.58 in 26 innings.

It is worth mentioning that alongside Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman was also included in the ICC's ODI team of the year and he received his cap earlier last month. In T20Is, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi were named in the team of the year for shortest format.
