Pakistan captain Babar Azam has disclosed the reason behind tweeting in support of former Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
The 33-year-old Kohli has been out of form and was also dropped from India's T20 squad for the tour of West Indies.
In a press conference here on Friday ahead of Pakistan's Test series against Sri Lanka, Babar once again extended his support to Kohli and said: "As a player myself, I know you can go through such a phase (out of form) and I also know what a player goes through in such a phase. In those times, you need support."
"I just tweeted thinking that it will give just some support. He is one of the best players," Babar explained.
"He is playing a lot of cricket and he knows how to come out of these situations. It takes time, if you back players, it will be really good," he added.
Remember, Babar tweeted a photo with Kohli yesterday and extended his support. "This too shall pass. Stay strong."
