Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has broken several records in the recent past and has added another one to that list.
Despite scoring only one run on Saturday against Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I game, Babar leaped ahead of veteran Mohammad Hafeez to become the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in T20Is.
Ranked as the best batter in the shortest format of the game, Babar Azam has accumulated 2,515 runs from just 64 innings; 44 innings quicker than Mohammad Hafeez.
Former captain Mohammad Hafeez has 2,514 runs from 108 innings whereas veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik sits third on the list with 2,423 runs from 110 innings.
Babar Azam has achieved this milestone with an average of 47.43 and a strike rate of 129.78, including one century and 24 half-centuries.
In the ongoing calendar year, Babar Azam trails only Mohammad Rizwan for most runs scored; 834 in 22 innings.
