Peshawar Zalmi's owner, Javed Afridi, has announced a generous gift for Babar Azam, the team's skipper, in recognition of his outstanding performance.
Following Babar Azam's remarkable 11th T20 century, which played a pivotal role in propelling Peshawar Zalmi to a formidable total of 201/5 against Islamabad United at Gaddafi Stadium, Afridi declared that he would be gifting an MG HS Essence car to the talented batsman.
Taking to his X handle, Afridi shared the exciting news, stating, "MG GIFT FOR BABAR AZAM. HE WILL BE THE FIRST ONE TO DRIVE MG ESSENCE. MADE IN PAKISTAN."
Zalmi's openers, Saim Ayub and Babar, once again initiated a strong start with a 73-run partnership after being put into bat.
The highlight of Babar Azam's sensational innings was the 18th over, where he aggressively scored four boundaries and a six against young Hunain Shah.
Finishing as the top-scorer for Peshawar Zalmi, Babar Azam remained unbeaten with an impressive score of 111 off just 63 deliveries, comprising 14 boundaries and two sixes.
