Pakistan's national skipper, Babar Azam, has left for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
Sharing a heartfelt note on Twitter, Babar Azam's father, Azam Siddiqui, announced the great news about his son leaving for the non-mandatory lesser pilgrimage made by Muslims to Mecca.
"Before departure for Umrah, this photo was taken with love for the fans," Siddiqui wrote.
Last year, Babar shared a photo on his social media handle, while he was in the holy city of Madina and was wearing a traditional Arabic dress.
Babar was rested from the recently concluded Afghanistan series, which Pakistan lost by 1-2. Babar is expected to return to lead T20I and ODI squads in the home series against New Zealand in April.
