Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, stays in the limelight for his wondrous cricketing achievements. However, on Monday, the right-handed batsman was trending on social media due to circulating rumors regarding his marriage.
Rumors suggested that the 28-year-old will marry soon after the ODI World Cup scheduled in October-November this year. A social media fan page shared the development on Twitter.
"Babar Azam is set to marry in November after the WorldCup," the post said.
However, while talking to Cricket Pakistan correspondent, a member of Babar's family refuted all the rumors. He confirmed that there's no hurry for his marriage, as Babar's current focus is on cricket.
He further added that Babar's top priority is to elevate the graph of the Pakistan team's successes with his performance. And the fans will have to wait for at least a year to see their hero in the groom's attire.
Babar’s management company, Saya Corporation, also rubbished the wedding rumours via post on social media platform X, which the Pakistan captain also reposted.
The ODI World Cup is set to take place on October 5th in India, and Babar will be leading the squad as a captain in the tournament.
