‘Babar Azam has a bit of headache’: Brad Hogg reacts after Karachi Test

Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg has opened up on Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s dismissals during the first South Africa Test in Karachi.

Babar was dismissed by Proteas left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj in both innings, while only scoring 7 and 30 runs respectively.

Responding to a Twitter user’s question about Babar facing more left-arm spin in the nets, Hogg said: “Correct. LBW to Maharaj in both innings. Beaten on the inside edge 1st innings and outside edge 2nd innings, Babar has a bit of headache here reading the spin.”

He also shared his thoughts on debutant Nauman Ali and leg-spinner Yasir Shah's performance, who played a key role in Pakistan’s victory during the first Test.

“I don't think Nauman has to change anything. I loved the way he changed his lines and had the South African batsman slightly hesitant with their footwork. Yasir's role is to be the more attacking bowler,” he said.
