Babar visits childhood home, Shadab counts Eidi, Rizwan shares message

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan's cricket team, on Saturday posted pictures of his Eid outfit and childhood home, along with his brothers, Safeer and Faisal.

"Time flying over my head. This year got a chance to celebrate [Eid ul Fitr] at my childhood home. What a rush of memories," Babar wrote on Twitter.

Pakistan vice-captain in limited-overs format, Shadab Khan, also wished his fans Eid Mubarak, while sharing pictures, in one of which, he can be seen counting money.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batsman of Pakistan's cricket team, extended his heartfelt Eid greetings to Muslims worldwide via Twitter. He shared a beautiful message to mark the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

"Eid Mubarak to all Muslims. Let's make a promise this Eid that we will spend our next 11 months just like Ramadan, under the guidance of Allah," Rizwan said.

Shaheen Afridi spent his Eid day at the Land Slide area near Torkham, a bustling border town located in the rugged terrain of the Khyber Agency.

The incident had cost the lives of eight people, with many others injured and significant financial losses incurred. Despite the gloomy situation, Shaheen was moved by the tireless efforts of the state security and rescue staff who had been working round the clock for over five days to retrieve the deceased and clear the rubble.

"I spent my Eid day at the Land Slide area near Torkham. Saddened that the incident cost 8 lives, many injured and huge financial losses. Really heartening to see all state security and rescue staff tirelessly working 24/7 to retrieve the deceased and clearing the rubble for over 5 days now," Shaheen wrote.

Following the rain-induced abandonment of the fourth T20I in Rawalpindi on Thursday, the players were granted permission to visit their families and celebrate Eid ul Fitr.
