Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) may forward a proposal to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding splitting the Test and Twenty20 International (T20I) series between the two countries scheduled to take place in Pakistan early next year.
While speaking to Cricbuzz, the chairman of BCB cricket operations Akram Khan said that they are currently awaiting the security report to decide on the next course of action regarding the tour.
“We may ask Pakistan to split the Test and Twenty20 series,” said Akram. “Which series we play first will depend on the security report. If we don’t get the green signal for some reason then we have to discuss with them over playing at a neutral venue but if we get the green signal then it’s different.”
“The government NOC is more important for us than Sri Lanka. Only after we get clearance from the government, we can think of the tour. We will also sit with the players and take their opinion as well,” he added.

Bangladesh Women’s and Under-16 team has already toured Pakistan earlier this year for a full series. However, the BCB believes the senior men’s tour is a more high profile series and will need government clearance before they can proceed with the tour.
