Pakistan pacer Dilbar Hussain has been sidelined with a moderate hamstring strain and will not be available for Melbourne Stars for 4-6 weeks in the ongoing season of Big Bash League.
Right-arm pacer suffered the injury in his second over against Sydney Thunders on Saturday and was only able to bowl 1.5 overs in the match.
In a video message posted on Melbourne Star’s twitter account, Dilbar asked his fans to pray for his quick recovery.
“As you all know I am playing for Melbourne Stars in BBL 10. In the previous match, I actually injured myself a little bit. I request all my Pakistan fans to pray for my recovery, so that I can make a comeback into the team. I am enjoying my time in Australia and everyone is very helpful here,” Dilbar said.
The 27-year-old had an ideal start for Stars as he picked up two wickets in his first match this BBL season against Brisbane Heat.
Dilbar’s Lahore Qalandars' teammate Haris Rauf is also set to join the Stars in early January and will be available until the start of February.
