BBL: Haris Rauf set to rejoin Stars after Pakistan, Bangladesh series

Pakistan’s fast-bowler Haris Rauf is set to rejoin the Melbourne Stars franchise for the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) after the third and final Twenty20 International (T20I) between the Men in Green and Bangladesh at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.

A representative from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told The Age, on Sunday, that the fast-bowler would leave for Australia on Tuesday after the end of the thee-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

"Haris Rauf will be returning to Melbourne on January 28 to feature in the remaining BBL matches for his side," a PCB spokesman said.

The fast-bowler enjoyed a decent run of form against Bangladesh with bowling figures of 1-32 and 1-27 in the first and second T20I respectively.

Rauf shot to fame after his blistering entry into the BBL as a substitute for the injured South African pacer Dale Steyn. The fast-bowler took 16 wickets in seven matches which included a fifer and a hat-trick.

Rauf looks set to return to the Melbourne Stars outfit before their qualifying final on Friday.
