Uncapped Pakistan pacer Dilbar Hussain will be in action during the ongoing season of Big Bash League (BBL), after he was picked by Melbourne Stars as an international replacement for 26-year-old fast-bowler Haris Rauf.
Rauf, on the back of his impressive performance in BBL, earned a national call-up for Pakistan and was released by Stars to join the Men in Green for the Twenty20 International (T20I) home series against Bangladesh.

Pacer is also another discovery of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars’ Player Development Programme (PDP) and was also part of the Qalandars squad in Abu Dhabi T10 league that took place last year in November.
Hussain had also played alongside Rauf for Qalandars in the pre-season matches against the Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes at the start of the 2018-19 season.
Dilbar has been named in the 13-man Stars squad that will take on Brisbane heat in Melbourne on Saturday.
