Board of Governors unhappy with PCB

Members of the Board of Governors (BoG) are reportedly unhappy with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials, after the latter made details of the board’s expenditure public.

According to Daily Express, during the BoG meeting held few days back, the members voiced their concerns about approval of Pakistan Super League (PSL) allowance for former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi — as that can potentially bring them under the scanner as well.

During the meeting, a heated discussion took place on this matter as one member inquired about why did PCB issue details about approved allowance of Rs.14 million for Sethi on their official website.

On this occasion, members also criticised PCB’s firm response to Sethi's legal notice because according to them this will spark a new debate.

It should be noted that Sethi termed the published financial details false and sent a notice to the board.

Also, appointment of more than one governing board members was done in Sethi's tenure and they are closely related to him.
