Captains reveal winning strategies for success in PSL 9

The HBL PSL 9 trophy has been unveiled at the Polo Ground of the Race Course Park in Lahore in the presence of Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi,  franchise owners, HBL representatives and star cricketers.

Peshawar Zalmi, led by seasoned Babar Azam, exudes confidence as they eye a strong performance this season. Azam expressed optimism about their batting lineup and emphasized the team's determination to make a mark in the upcoming matches.

"This time, the Peshawar Zalmi team looks good. Our batting lineup is strong, and we are confident that we will perform better this time. We'll see on match day how our preparations are going. Mohammad Haris will take on the opposing bowlers this time," Babar said.

Meanwhile, Shadab Khan, captain of Islamabad United, is bullish about his team's prospects. Shadab believes they have assembled the perfect squad following the draft and is confident that the talent within the Shah Brothers will surprise opponents.

"We got what we wanted in the draft. We couldn't finish in the last season, but this time we'll make a difference. There is a lot of talent in Shah Brothers, and Islamabad United will surprise everyone this time," Shadab said.

Lahore Qalandars, under the leadership of Shaheen Afridi, are banking on their young and talented lineup to deliver stellar performances. Afridi expressed confidence in the abilities of Zaman Khan and other emerging players.

"Our team is quite good. Zaman Khan and all the youngsters are talented. All the players from Qalandars' PDP will prove to be trump cards for us. As a professional player, you have to be ready to deal with any situation. I am completely fit and prepared to tackle every challenge," Shaheen said.

Quetta Gladiators, led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, enter the tournament with a sense of consistency. Sarfaraz highlighted the team's track record of performance since the inception of the PSL.

"Our team has been playing consistently since the first season," Sarfaraz said.

HBL PSL 9 will commence from February 17 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Gaddafi Stadium will host nine matches. After the opening ceremony, Lahore Qalandars will face Islamabad United in the first match. Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad United have set up their camps in Lahore. All four teams will start their practice sessions from today.
