Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to bear more financial losses in the compensation case against Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
According to Daily Express, following the verdict of compensation case in favour of BCCI, the cricket regulatory authority in India has given an ultimatum to file a case for the recovery of expenses.
According to the report, the PCB is expected to lose more money in expenses recovery case.
In this case, both parties present the details of their expenses during the case and the losing party has to bear all the expenses — and PCB is expected to face the same fate.
For the compensation case, former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi approved a budget of one million pounds. During the case the board took services of legal advisors from, both, the Great Britain and Pakistan. Sethi also toured England several times and spent over Rs.80 million.
Sources told that Sethi was the one who favored ‘the big three’ and signed a weak agreement with BCCI for the bilateral series.
To prove himself right, former chairman filed a compensation case against BCCI although at that time some officials believed that it was off no use.
