Cricket Australia introduces Pakistan fan zones for upcoming series

Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the creation of Pakistan fan zones for the Australia-Pakistan white-ball series in November, promising a vibrant kickoff to the men's international summer.

This move, part of CA's Multicultural Action Plan, aims to foster inclusivity and provide an enriched experience for cricket fans from diverse backgrounds.

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, CA has designated specific seating areas for Pakistani fans at each venue.

These zones will offer prayer areas and a selection of halal food, catering to cultural needs.

This initiative mirrors CA's earlier announcement of India fan zones for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which includes dedicated seating, encouragement to wear blue attire, and bringing traditional instruments to create a vibrant atmosphere.

Details about ticket sales for both the Pakistan and India fan zones will be released next week, promising an inclusive and thrilling start to the men's international summer.

On March 26th, Cricket Australia announced the schedule of their ODI and T20I series against Pakistan in November later this year.

The three-match ODI series kicks off on 4 November at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, followed by matches in Adelaide and Perth on 8 and 10 November, respectively. The last time Pakistan played an ODI series in Australia was in 2016.

Following the ODIs, Pakistan and Australia will also clash in a three-match T20I series. Pakistan last played a T20I in Australia in 2022 during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final.

  • 4 November: MCG, Melbourne (D/N)
  • 8 November: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide (D/N)
