Don’t forget that our batsmen did well in last two series: Hasan Ali

Pakistan’s pacer Hasan Ali has opened up after England defeated the Men in Green in the second One-day International (ODI) at Lord’s, by a margin of 52 runs, to take an unassailable two-nil lead in the three-match series.

Ali recalled previous good performances by the batsmen despite the latter failing to deliver in both matches, in England, during the ongoing tour.

“We have coaches here and our batsmen are aware of the mistakes they made but don’t forget that they’ve done well for Pakistan in the past, especially in the last two series. Unfortunately, our top-order could not score runs here and we lost the first and second match,” said Ali in the post-match press conference.

Ali, who bagged a five-wicket haul during the match, was also hopeful about Pakistan making a strong comeback in the final match of the series on Tuesday, July 13.

“I’m feeling proud after taking five wickets today but on the other hand I am disappointed that we lost two back-to-back games and the ODI series. However we are looking ahead to a strong comeback in the third game in Birmingham,” he concluded.
