England white-ball captain Jos Buttler is likely to miss some part of the upcoming four-match T20I series against Pakistan, starting from May 22 in Leeds.
According to inews.co.uk, Buttler could be called away at any time since his wife, Louise, is expecting their third child in the next few days.
Buttler recently cut his IPL stint short to return to England and participate in the series against Pakistan as preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024.
Meanwhile, England's head coach, Matthew Mott, has not yet joined the squad due to a family issue. In his absence, assistant coach Richard Dawson led the practice session on Monday in Leeds. Mott aims to rejoin the team by Tuesday.
Furthermore, there is a possibility that the first match of the series could be rained out. The weather forecast for Wednesday evening in Yorkshire suggests heavy rain.
