Fakhar Zaman to miss tri-series in New Zealand

Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman will miss the tri-series in New Zealand as he will join the side in Brisbane before the T20 World Cup.

The T20 World Cup starts from November 16, with Pakistan playing their first game on October 23 against India at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Fakhar, who is currently in London for rehabilitation of his right injured knee, will join the side in Brisbane on October 15 

Meanwhile, NHPC coach Umar Rasheed will fly to London today, where he will join Shaheen Shah Afridi. 

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Tuesday, informed that Umar will help Shaheen in London to start proper bowling practice before the world cup

On Tuesday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed the media that Rasheed is set to travel to London on Wednesday. 

Shaheen is returning from a knee injury that ruled him out of the Netherlands series,  Asia Cup 2022 and home T20I series against England. He will also not play tri-series in Christchurch from 7-14 October, where Bangladesh and New Zealand will be the other participating sides.

Umar Rasheed and Shaheen Afridi, along with Fakhar Zaman, will travel together for Brisbane.
