Fans slam Malik for posting cryptic tweet after Pakistan lost in Asia Cup final

Pakistan's loss on the big stage always brings a divide among the fanbase and this time around, the fans united against Shoaib Malik for posting a cryptic tweet following Pakistan's loss against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 final.

Malik, who has been cast aside, let his anger out after Pakistan fell 23 runs short of a 171-run target set by Sri Lanka.

"When will we come out from friendship, liking & disliking culture. Allah always helps the honest," wrote Malik on Twitter.

Babar Azam has been accused of preferring players based on his personal friendships with them and the same narrative can be found in Malik's cryptic tweet.

Former wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal also joined in to showcase his frustration and added fuel to fire.

However, the fans - who were already hurt because of the loss - found it disrespectful and responded to Malik in a fitting manner.
