The Pakistan team management has often been accused of favoritism and the trend has also continued with Babar Azam leading the charge as well.
Although not all rumors might hold any truth, there are some deserving players who have been sidelined without any real chance. Following Pakistan's loss against Sri Lanka, former captain Shoaib Malik posted a cryptic tweet that yielded a lot of negative comments from the fans.
In response to Malik's tweet, Faisal Iqbal responded to him and claimed that his own reign over Pakistan cricket was thanks to favoritism which also ruined many careers along the way.
"Malik saab, nothing new now liking and disliking culture has been happening far longgg including your captaincy days and some careers were ruined!! Beeshak Allah if for All," he wrote on his Twitter while responding to Malik's original tweet.
Shoaib Malik, who is yet to retire, has set his eyes on the upcoming World Cup squad and perhaps the entire drama is being stirred up to remain in the headlines.
However, Malik's claims have been catching on fire ever since Pakistan's disappointing run in the Asia Cup and with players severely underperforming.
