South Africa’s former cricketers Jacques Rudolph, in an interview with SACricketMag.com, included Pakistan’s former pacer Shoaib Akhtar as the best fast-bowler while creating an all-time list in which he named the best players in each category. The categories were for the players he played with and against during his career.
The Proteas batsman named South Africa’s legendary former all-rounder Jacques Kallis as the best player ever in the sport while Australia’s legendary former captain Ricky Ponting was named as the best captain the batsman played against.

Rudolph named England’s former all-rounder Andrew Flintoff as the best seam bowler while England’s veteran pacer James Anderson was named as the best swing bowler in cricket.
Sri Lanka’s legendary former cricketers Muttiah Muralitharan and Kumar Sangakkara were named as the best spinner and best batsman, respectively.
The left-handed batsman represented the Proteas side in 48 Test matches. He scored 2622 runs with a highest score of 222 not out. Rudolph retired from the sport in 2017.
