‘From bowling bouncers to facing bouncers’: Raja on becoming PCB chairman

Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has opened up on becoming the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

In a tweet on Sunday, Raja seemed confident about facing the challenges related to Pakistan cricket.  

“Life has changed a bit since my last tweet. From bowling bouncers to facing bouncers but with your support and blessings I am confident to win the day inshallah [God willing],” tweeted Raja.

 

 

Election Commissioner of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Justice (retd) Sheikh Azmat Saeed has called a special meeting of the Board of Governors on Monday, 13 September, at 1100 in Lahore to elect the 36th PCB Chairman.

Meanwhile, PCB Patron, Prime Minister Imran Khan, had nominated Asad Ali Khan, a chartered accountant, and Raja on the Board of Governors (BoG) for a three-year term while exercising his powers under clause 12(1) of the PCB Constitution.

Raja, who has already accepted the offer to become chairman, will be formally appointed after elections on September 13.
