Former Pakistan opener, who is now a renowned commentator, Ramiz Raja gave a hilarious response, when asked about the chances of coaching the national side in the future.
Raja was participating in a Q&A session on YouTube, where he opened up on why he lacks the temperament for this role.
“Well you see maybe I don’t have the temperament for this [coaching],” said Raja while talking to ESPNcricinfo.
“You know when my son comes up to me and says my straight drive is not working, I say go and ask your mum,” he chuckled.
“I don’t think I’m cut out for it right now,” he added.

Raja featured in 57 Tests and 198 One-day Internationals (ODIs) for Pakistan and amassed 2833 and 5841 runs, respectively. He was also a part of Pakistan side that won the World Cup in 1992, under the captaincy of Imran Khan.
It must be noted that Raja has served as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), in the past. He replaced Chishty Mujahid in April 2003 but resigned, after less than two years in charge, in August 2004 citing commitments as television commentator.
Raja's resignation was on the cards because of heavy criticism in the cricket circles for his preference to do the dual jobs of commentator and Chief Executive.
