Haider Ali finally comes good with bat for Derbyshire

Haider Ali played an outstanding innings for Derbyshire on Sunday against Yorkshire, scoring 74 runs off 47 balls, including four sixes and four fours.

Before this match, Haider had only scored 54 runs in previous five matches.

Derbyshire managed to score 166 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Haider Ali was the highest scorer for Derbyshire, while Wayne Madsen contributed 44 runs from 26 balls with three fours and two sixes.

For Yorkshire, Ben Mike proved to be the stand out bowler, taking three wickets, including Haider Ali's, in four overs while conceding 39 runs. 

Yorkshire successfully chased down the target of 167 runs in just 18.2 overs, with David Malan leading the charge by scoring 81 runs in 57 balls.

Unfortunately, Derbyshire’s Zaman couldn't take any wickets and conceded 37 runs in just 3.2 overs.

As of now, Derbyshire holds the seventh position in the points table with four points, having won only two matches.
