The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will hold a replacement draft for HBL Pakistan Super League on January 24.
Earlier, the draft for HBL PSL 8 took place on December 15, where teams finalised their 18-member squads for the upcoming season.

However, on the request of all franchises, the board has now decided to increase the size of squad to 20 players, as some players might become unavailable due to international commitments. Franchises will now pick two players in the supplementary category.
“Meanwhile, on the request of the franchises, the PCB has agreed to increase the number of players per side to 20, allowing each franchise to pick two additional Supplementary players. The Supplementary players will be picked in the Replacement Draft, which will take place on Tuesday, 24 January,” PCB said in a press release.
The tournament will take place from February 13 to March 19 in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and Multan.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will take on Multan Sultans in the opening match of the tournament in Multan.
