Former Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim, who retired from international cricket last November, expressed his readiness to return to the national team if called upon by selectors.
Speaking to local media, he stated his willingness to serve his country if required, emphasizing his commitment to Pakistan.
“I made a name for myself while playing for Pakistan and if my country needs me, I will be available. If not, I have no issues with that,” Imad said.
"Shaheen called me after I retired but I told him that we will talk after PSL," he added.
Imad Wasim starred for Islamabad United as they beat Quetta Gladiators by 39 runs at National Bank Stadium, Karachi on Friday night.
Islamabad scored 174-9 in the first innings, which they comfortably defended as Quetta was dismissed for just 135. Imad was the pick of the bowlers for Islamabad, returning with three wickets for just 12 runs in his four overs.
The all-rounder made an impact early in the innings by dismissing opening batsman Saud Shakeel in the first over. He further demonstrated his effectiveness by claiming the wicket of Gladiators’ skipper Rilee Rossouw. His relentless bowling continued as he secured another wicket, that of Khawaja Nafay, in his third over, contributing significantly to Islamabad's victory.
