Former West Indian fast bowler and renowned cricket commentator, Ian Bishop, has disclosed that Babar Azam is his all-time favorite cricketer from Pakistan.
In a video segment with ESPNCricinfo, Bishop was asked about his favorite cricketer from various cricket playing countries, and he singled out the name of Babar as his pick from Pakistan.

Bishop also named his favorite players from other countries like, Robin Smith from England, Tamim Iqbal from Bangladesh, Kumar Sangakkara from Sri Lanka, Sachin Tendulkar from India, and Brian Lara from West Indies.
Pakistan captain recently became the fastest batter to score 5000 runs in ODI cricket, as well as led the Pakistan side to reach the top spot of the ICC ODI rankings for the first time in history. He also became the fastest batter to reach 18 centuries in the fifty-over format, upon which, Bishop took to Twitter to congratulate the Pakistan skipper.
“Some of these Babar Azam drives today though🥰🥰. Happy 18th ODI century, & Congrats on becoming the fastest to 5000 ODI runs. That’s not to be taken lightly, given the great names he has surpassed,” Bishop tweeted.
The right-hand batsman has been making headlines for his impressive performances on the field, and Bishop's endorsement is a testament to his talent and skill.
