ICC delegation inspects Gaddafi Stadium for Champions Trophy 2025

An International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation visited Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday to review preparations for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9.

The delegation included ICC officials, broadcasters, and logistics experts who conducted a detailed inspection of the venue. Usman Wahla, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Director of International Cricket, guided the visitors through the stadium, showcasing the upgraded enclosures, media boxes, dressing rooms, and other key facilities.

Renovation work at Gaddafi Stadium is progressing well and is expected to be completed by the end of January. The iconic venue will host at least four matches during the tournament, including the second semi-final on March 5.

The Champions Trophy 2025 will feature eight teams divided into two groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B consists of Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia.

The 15-match tournament will be held across three venues in Pakistan – Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi – with Dubai also hosting key fixtures. The opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand is set for February 19 in Karachi, while the much-anticipated Pakistan-India clash will take place on February 23 in Dubai.
