T20 World Cup trophy to make stop in three Pakistan cities

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024's trophy is currently making its way through Pakistan after starting its tour in the United States last month.

Arriving in Islamabad on Wednesday night, it is now displayed in front of the National Assembly. This three-day tour will also include stops in Lahore and Abbottabad.

On Saturday, the trophy will head to Lahore's National Cricket Academy coinciding with the Pakistan vs. New Zealand T20I match at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The trophy, dubbed "Out of this World," will traverse 15 countries across four continents, gracing iconic stadiums and being admired by legendary cricketers.

In addition to traditional cricketing nations, the trophy will also visit emerging cricket nations like Brazil, Argentina, and Canada, aiming to foster interest and engagement in the sport among diverse communities.

It is worth noting that the tournament will commence on 2 June with co-hosts USA taking on neighbors Canada, while fellow hosts the West Indies will play Papua New Guinea in Guyana on the second day of group play.
