India announce squad for Women's Asia Cup 2024

India has announced their 15-player squad for the Women's Asia Cup 2024, which starts on July 19. The ninth edition of the tournament will take place in Sri Lanka, running from July 19 to 28, and will be played in the T20 format.

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead India's squad, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her vice-captain. The tournament will feature eight teams, divided into two groups of four. India is in Group A along with Nepal, Pakistan, and UAE.

India will kick off their Asia Cup campaign on July 19 against Pakistan. They will face UAE on July 21 and then Nepal on July 23. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the final scheduled for July 28. All matches will be held in Dambulla.

In addition to the main squad, India has named four traveling reserves: Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh.
