Lahore Qalandars have announced their squad for the inaugural ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL), showcasing a powerful blend of international stars, seasoned local talent, and emerging players from their renowned Player Development Program.
The team’s core features Pakistan’s all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, wicket-keeper batter Muhammad Akhlaq, explosive opener Mirza Tahir Baig, and leg-spinner Arif Yaqoob. These players form the backbone of the squad for the tournament, set to take place in Guyana from November 27 to December 7, 2024.
The overseas lineup adds star power with South Africa’s left-arm wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, West Indies’ dynamic all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, and a trio of English talents: Tom Abell, Luke Wells, and Adam Rossington. Canadian pacer Kaleem Sana rounds off the international contingent, adding further depth to the bowling unit.
True to their mission of promoting Pakistani talent globally, the two-time PSL champions have included four graduates from their Player Development Program: fast bowlers Salman Mirza and Tayyab Abbas, top-order batter Mirza Tahir Baig, and promising all-rounder Muhammad Faizan.

With preparations underway, the squad is set to depart for Guyana soon, aiming to make an impact in the much-anticipated tournament.
The two-time PSL champions, Lahore Qalandars, are set to face the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the opening match of the tournament on Wednesday, November 27.
