Misbah gives valuable advice to Mohammad Rizwan ahead of T20 World Cup

Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has offered valuable advice to the national team's wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan.

While talking on a local news channel, Misbah commented on Rizwan's batting pace, noting that while he aims to play longer innings, he needs to adjust his batting pace accordingly.

“Mohammad Rizwan is trying to play a longer innings, but the batting pace required is a bit slower. He will need to increase it,” Misbah said.

Expressing his thoughts in an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, Rizwan had expressed dissatisfaction with his performance in PSL season nine.

"I am not completely satisfied with my performance. Yes, it's true that my performance contributed to winning runs in two matches, but it's also true that the performance I set for myself or the expectations I have for myself, I did not meet that standard of performance that I consider for myself," Rizwan remarked.

The 31-year-old, who led Multan Sultans to the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine and ended up as runners-up, faced criticism for his strike rate.

The wicket-keeper batter was the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament having scored 407 runs with an average of 33.91, his strike rate remained at 122.22.
