Mohammad Ali takes six-fer as Pakistan Shaheens require 160 more runs on final day

The Pakistan Shaheens have been set a challenging target of 296 runs to win the second four-day match against Bangladesh A.

At the close of play on the third day, Shaheens had reached 136 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, leaving them needing 160 more runs to win with 6 wickets in hand.

The day’s play was highlighted by fast bowler Mohammad Ali’s remarkable performance, claiming six wickets, and opener Sahibzada Farhan's aggressive half-century.

Bangladesh A resumed their second innings on the third day at 84 runs for 3 wickets and were eventually bowled out for 216 runs.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy top-scored with 65 runs, hitting eleven fours, while Afif Hossain contributed 58 runs with nine fours and one six.

The Pakistani bowlers were impressive, taking the remaining 7 wickets for an additional 132 runs. Mohammad Ali finished with figures of 6 for 63, and Khurram Shehzad took 3 for 67.

In Pakistan Shaheens’ second innings, Sahibzada Farhan and Haseebullah provided a strong start with a 96-run partnership.

Farhan scored 68 runs, including ten fours and two sixes. However, after his dismissal, Kamran Ghulam and Umar Amin were out for ducks, and Irfan Khan made 15 runs before getting out.

At the end of the day, Haseebullah remained unbeaten on 44 runs, with Tayyab Tahir not out on 4 runs. For Bangladesh A, Raja Rahman Raja took two wickets.
