Former Pakistan cricket captain Mohammad Hafeez made a cryptic statement following the announcement of the squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand.
The Pakistan selectors on Tuesday revealed a 17-player team for the five-match T20I series against the Kiwis.
Hafeez, who previously held roles as the team’s director and head coach, took to his social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, to express his thoughts.
He posted, "#RIP Pakistan domestic cricket," leaving fans to speculate about the intended target of his message.
Some believe it may be directed at the inclusion of certain players like Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, while others interpret it as a critique of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) administration following his removal from his position.
