The 22-year-old young fast bowler Muhammad Hasnain has been included in the national squad for the Asia Cup 2022 as Shaheen Shah's replacement.
Shaheen earlier pulled out of the tournament after the doctors recommended a 4-6 weeks rest for a knee injury he picked up during the Test series against Sri Lanka.
The event is set to kick off on August 27 and will conclude the following month on the 11th.
Mohammad Hasnain has so far taken 17 wickets while representing Pakistan in 18 T20 international matches. The youngster is currently playing The Hundred and will join the national T20 squad in Dubai.
On the other hand, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Usman Qadir will leave Pakistan on Tuesday morning and join the squad in Dubai; they will replace Abdullah Shafiq, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, and Zahid Mehmood in the 16-member squad announced for the Netherlands tour.
Pakistan are set to clash against India in their first match of the tournament on August 28. The following fixture will be against the qualifier team whereas the Super Four phase will commence on September 3.
