Multan Sultans beat Karachi Kings in the opening fixture of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) by 7 wickets.
Skipper Mohammad Rizwan led the charge as he scored an unbeaten 52 to guide Multan to their first victory of the tournament.
Shan Masood supported Rizwan at the start with a 26-run inning whereas Shoaib Maqsood piled on 30 runs before being stumped off of Mohammad Nabi.
Nabi picked up two wickets whereas Mohammad Ilyas removed Shan Masood at the start of the inning.
After winning the toss, Multan elected to bowl which proved to be the right decision on the night.
Although Karachi made an explosive start thanks to Sharjeel Khan's quick-fire 43, the Babar-led team found it difficult to crawl back into the match after both openers lost their wickets.
Veteran Imran Tahir took a three-for and only gave away 16 runs from his four overs while Khushdil Shah and Shahnawaz Dahani picked up a wicket each.
Karachi stumbled over for 124-5 after 20 overs, a target which was chased down by Rizwan's Multan.
