“I am flooded with “requests” from relatives, friends, acquaintances & persons in authority to hire or promote people in PCB. Please, everyone, understand PCB is not an employment agency,” he tweeted.
He also urged against any external influence in player selection and coaching appointments.
"I am also requesting friends and high-ups not to do sifarish for [the] selection of any player or coach, etc., or to give employment or facilitation to any undeserving person. PCB competes with top professional organizations worldwide and cannot afford to be inefficient."
Reminder for all is that the 74-year-old assumed his role as chief of the committee last month following a decision by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to revive the 2014 PCB Constitution.
