Naseem Shah looks frustrated under Sarfaraz-led Gladiators

Naseem Shah wasn’t having a good time and looked rather frustrated during the match between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars on Thursday in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The right-arm pacer picked a solitary wicket of Haris Rauf, while conceding 29 runs in his four-over spell.

However, a video of Naseem in a heated exchange during the Qalandars' innings went viral on social media.

The Gladiators’ captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, also looked rather animated on the field as he scolded his teammates during Qalandars’ innings.

The 20-year-old was also in a gloomy mood, while Gladiators were struggling during chasing the 149-run target set by Qalandars.

Naseem, who famously won Pakistan a cliffhanger against Afghanistan during the Asia Cup by hitting consecutive sixes, was waiting for his turn in the dugout, while Sarfaraz Ahmed struggled to up the ante.

The lower-order batsman bowed his head down in frustration, as the required run rate went out of Gladiators’ reach.

Gladiators were cruising in the Powerplay with Will Smeed playing the role of aggressor, but the dismissal of both openers in a span of six balls derailed what promised to be a smooth sail.

From the end of the Powerplay to the beginning of the 12th, Quetta Gladiators could muster only 11 runs but at the cost of three wickets. Sarfaraz made a consolation 27 not out off 28 balls, but failed to take his team over the line, losing the match by 17 runs.

Fans weren’t happy seeing Naseem frustrated and wants him to change his team during next season.
